When it comes to mounting our pumps, we offer
virtually unlimited scope. We have a wide range of standard brackets and couplings, and
where quantities permit, we can provide specially engineered mountings, drawing on our
extensive experience of special projects on everything from submarines to wind powered
generators! Standard arrangements include flange, foot, base plate and vertical tank top
mountings.

Mounting brackets are normally aluminium, but we
can supply cast iron or steel versions, with appropriate 'non-sparking' couplings for
hazardous environments such as deep mines and Oil installations.

However you want to drive your pump, we probably already know of a proven
arrangement to suit. Our experience covers all kinds of electric, air and hydraulic
motors, as well as water-power, and internal combustion engines. We can also advise on and
quote for low-speed gearbox applications, with inverter or variator drives. New challenges
are always welcome!

Most pump sizes can be fitted with our standard integral adjustable release valve, venting
to the inlet, to protect prime movers from overload or damage. Alternatively, there is the
option of a return-to-tank release valve to limit heat build up within the pump, Both
types can be supplied in non-adjustable form to prevent tampering.
Other Special Options that we can offer include pump heating (e.g. with
the provision for the fitting of electric cartridge heaters and temperature transducers,
to facilitate closed loop control), drain-down ports - often specified on our
larger pumps to suit 'clean -in-place' regimes, and side plate pumps where maximum
port size is needed. |
